The Institute of Technology and Life Sciences (ITP) was established on January, 1st 2010 as a result of the fusion of two Institutes – the Institute for Building, Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture (IMBER - established in 1948) and the Institute for Land Reclamation and Grassland Farming (IMUZ - established in 1953) under the Ordinance of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. ITP conducts research and experimental projects in the field of agronomy, agricultural engineering and environmental protection. The aim of the Institute is to develop the scientific basic for the development of agriculture and the construction of agricultural and rural infrastructure. The Institute pursues this goal by conducting research, development and implementation and promotion of results in the country and abroad.
